For top producer Gonzalo Herrera, communication can be just as important as location in successful real estate transactions. Within his first year as a real estate professional with Keyes Boynton Beach Branch in 2002, Gonzalo soared to the top, and he attributes his success to his commitment to providing first class service, as well as his constant communication with clients.  

Gonzalo has long been interested in the real estate industry, having spent much of his prior career developing virtual tour technology, and working in real estate television advertising. Gonzalo has leveraged this experience and applies it to his real estate sales career by developing effective marketing plans for clients.

“To achieve a high level of success in real estate sales, you have to give 100%,” said Gonzalo.  “Real estate is a great career for those who have an entrepreneurial spirit and are willing to work hard to prove their dedication and build a reputation.”

Gonzalo quickly developed a solid referral base using this philosophy, and from his second year in real estate, 85% of his business has been from referral.  He also trains other Keyes associates who are both veterans, and who are new to the real estate field.

“Entry level associates, as well as those wanting to build their business, should concentrate on doing everything they can to obtain leads,” he said.  “This means calling on expired listings, contacting FSBOs, and generally walking the pavement.

“Keyes also offers many great opportunities for lead generation, because the company is involved in so many charitable and community activities,” he continued.  “If anyone asks me how to reach greater levels of success in real estate, I tell them to attend the events that Keyes participates in, such as musical concerts, community festivals, and charitable programs.”
