The Village of Palmetto Bay was incorporated as its own municipality in 2002. There are primarily single family homes in the community. Palmetto Bay encompasses a small town feel with all services within a few minutes drive.
The Village attracts families with school aged children because of the excellent reputation of public and private schools. There are also plenty of events that residents and visitors love to attend, such as the Seafood Festival and Village Picnic in the Spring, Wine on Harvest Moon in the Fall, Friday night Food Truck Invasion, and Rock Concerts at Ludovici Park.
Palmetto Bay has eight public parks, including 444 acres at The Deering Estate, and an environmental, archaeological, and historic preserve. It is common to see families enjoying the outdoor activities the community offers.
Take a ride down the canoe in the morning to explore the bay and canals, then have lunch at Black Point Marina.
