Michael I. Pappas is the President of The Keyes Company, one of the largest independent brokerage firms in the United States, with sales in excess of $4 billion annually. Keyes is based in Miami, with 35+ branches, 2,600 Associates and affiliates that include Capital Partners Mortgage, HomePartners Title, Keyes Insurance and Keyes Property Management.
Mike graduated Cum Laude from Wake Forest University where he majored in Business and Spanish, and was awarded the Wall Street Journal Award as a top finance student. He joined Keyes as a Sales Associate in 1980 and held a variety of positions, including General Sales Manager, until taking over as President in 1992.
In addition to being the Past Chairman of the International Board of Directors of the Young Presidents' Organization, Mike’s other professional current memberships and/or directorships include National Association of Realtors Real Estate Services (RES) Board, Chair of El Shaddai Ministries, and Wake Forest University School of Business Board of Visitors.
Mike has also been the recipient of numerous awards and designations, including the YPO Legacy Award and "Real Estate Up and Comer of the Year" by Price Waterhouse and "Best Real Estate Deal of the Year" by South Florida Magazine. The Pappas family also received the Florida International University Albert Haar Family Business Award. In 2013 and 2014, Swanpoel Power 200 named Mike one of the National Top 200 Most Powerful People in Real Estate.
Mike is an avid runner and has completed various marathons. He and his wife Kathy reside in Miami and have five children.
