1. How are standard KNR referral fees calculated?
A. When a transaction is closed, your referral fee will be calculated as follows:

Selling Price $200,000
Commission (varies) x 6%
Gross Commission $ 12,000
Referral Side
(buying or selling) $ 6,000
x 15%
Your Referral Fee $ 900

2. What properties can I refer?
A. Any type of marketable real estate anywhere in the United States, Canada or around the world.

3. Can I call a Keyes associate directly with referrals or questions?
A. Yes, you can, but referrals must be registered with the KNR office immediately. This will provide for protection of referrals and timely payment of your fees.

4. Can I be actively involved in the solicitation and follow through on referrals?
A. You can be as detached or involved as you wish, but we suggest that you always follow up with your prospect. We encourage direct communication with the associate to share prospect information.

5. What do I say to a potential client?
A. Find out if they have a real estate need. If not, use the “seven second presentation” If yes, explain that you are a “Referral Associate” and would like to have a full-time Keyes associate contact them for service.

6. What do I say to a potential SELLER?
A. If your prospect is selling a home, ask for:
• Name
• Telephone number
• Address of property they wish to sell
• And, if they would like to be contact by The Keyes Company

7. What do I say to a potential BUYER?
A. If your prospect is buying a home, ask for:
• Name
• Telephone number(s)
• How soon they need to buy
• The area in which they wish to live
• What type of housing they need (single family, townhouse, condo, etc.)
• The price range in which they are interested
• Any additional information you think would be helpful
AND, don’t forget to ask about their current home, it could mean a listing referral!

8. What do I say if my prospect is LEAVING THE AREA?
A. If your prospect is leaving the area, ask:
• Where they are moving to
• When they need to move
• If they would like assistance finding a home in the new city
